I was living in Oregon with Patty in the late 70s. I got lucky and caught a rather large Steelhead. For you non-fishermen, a Steelhead is a Rainbow trout that has gone out to sea for a few years, then comes back up to spawn like the salmon. Unlike the salmon, Steelhead don’t die. They stick around a while, gorge on new-born trout, then head back out to the ocean. This one kept me running up and down the stream for a few hours. I used light tackle, so I couldn’t muscle him in.
